This is the May 3, 1954 edition of Life Magazine. It contains an article on an event that happened at Tupperware National Headquarters near Kissimmee.
The event was the first of Tupperware’s “Jubilees” – the multi-day event for Tupperware salespersons – a business convention of sorts. This first jubilee included a treasure dig. Tupperware took dozens of prizes and buried them in an open lot on their property. They handed out shovels to the guests and encouraged them to dig for their rewards. The smaller items were encased in sealed Tupperware containers, the larger ones in plastic bags.
