This is the January 23, 1956 issue of Life Magazine with an article about developing tourism in Florida.
It shows photos from Sunshine Springs near Sarasota, Miami Beach, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach, St. Petersburg and Key West.
One photo shows President Dwight D. (Ike) Eisenhower at the Little White House on the Key West Navy Base. He was there at that point to recuperate from major heart attack that struck him on September 24, 1955. The Little White House was initially established by President Harry S. Truman (who is on the cover of this issue) and eventually became a tourist attraction because of its connection with several US presidents.
