A fascinating promotional press photo for Six Gun Territory.
This is a press photo of John Bromfield, a film and television actor mostly in the 1950s and 1960s.
In 1956, Bromfield was cast in the TV show Sheriff of Cochise as Frank Morgan a law enforcement officer. Later, he reprised his role in a spinoff (arguably it was a renaming) called U. S. Marshall. The two series’ combined, ran through 1960. Basically, the first 2 years Morgan was the sheriff of Cochise County, AZ, and the final 2 years he was a US marshal in AZ.
The photo shows him with the sign for Six Gun Territory, along with several of the attraction’s performers.
The car is a 1963 Pontiac Catalina Safari.
Side note: Bromfield appeared with Esther Williams, Van Johnson and Tony Martin in the 1953 movie Easy to Love, a movie that took place at, and featured, Cypress Gardens.
