Pensacola Light Visit 2016

This was a quick visit to the Pensacola Light as well as other historic sites on the Naval Air Station. It was winter and very overcast, so because of the weather I didn’t venture to the top of the light.

It was terrific to get photos of the eagles mounted near the top of the light. It’s an interesting feature; unlike any other decoration on other Florida lights. You might be able to see rain falling on that and other photos.

I suppose the most interesting photo included here is the one from Fort Pickens showing the light, water towers and the Blue Angels. Visitors to Pensacola are very lucky if they get to experience the Blue Angels practicing. Pensacola Naval Air Station is their home and when they’re not traveling throughout the world to do shows, they’re usually working on their skills around Pensacola.
