This is a tri-fold brochure produced by J.C. Deagan Inc. of Chicago, IL. Deagan was a large instrument manufacturer primarily of bells and chimes. The brochure is undated, but it’s tied to the 1939 World’s Fair in New York.
The brochure was used at the World’s Fair to promote Deagan’s business. The Florida Pavillion featured a tower that housed what was then the world’s largest carillon which was manufactured by Deagan.
The brochure says that the carillon would be reinstalled in a new tower at the Stephen Foster Memorial near White Springs. It was, but it didn’t happen until 1958, nearly 20 years after the fair.
