Florida’s Turnpike Map 1958

This is a 12 panel brochure for Florida’s Turnpike. Officially known at the time as the Sunshine State Parkway, the Turnpike only ran 108.8 miles when this brochure was created. It’s undated but comes from a collection dated 1958.

The Turnpike ran from Miami north to Fort Pierce. Eventually it would turn inland north of Ft. Pierce heading towards Orlando and eventually end in Wildwood at Interstate 75 which had yet to have been constructed as well.

The brochure includes a note from then Florida governor LeRoy Collins.
