This booklet from the Florida Fair in Tampa is dated 1934 and has 51 pages. The booklet is approximately postcard size. The Florida fair would eventually be called the Florida State Fair, and is still held in Tampa.
The booklet has many of the sights of the fair as well as the Gasparilla Festival (Including the Gasparilla Parade). Attractions at the fair included auto races, motorcycle stunts, equestrian shows, a typical midway, flower show, fireworks, poultry show and intriguingly, “Bombayo India Rope Bounder”.
County exhibits shown are Alachua, De Soto, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Jefferson, Manatee, Marion, Pinellas and Polk.
Other exhibits pictured are by the United States government, the Lake Magdalene Community, Plant City Community, Ruskin Community, Tampa Municipal Nurseries, as well as a 4-H corn exhibit, Cuban exhibit, honey show, canary show, woman’s department, Blue Goose Citrus, a cigar box factory exhibit and an educational exhibit.
