Coronet Magazine 1949

Firstly, enjoy the cover of this edition of Coronet Magazine. It has nothing to do with the article on Florida, but it’s great! Artwork was by J. Frederick Smith.

Coronet was a Esquire publication and in this issue is a photo essay entitled Funland. Featuring 18 images, it shows both the natural and man-made sides of Florida. It mentions locations such as Cypress Gardens, Miami Beach, Bok Tower, Marineland, the Everglades, St. Augustine and Lake Okeechobee.

Check out the images, they’re great. They’re interesting and actually quite beautiful.
