The Mystery Fun House, which opened in 1976, was located on Major Blvd in Orlando just north of the burgeoning tourism area connected with International Drive. The brochure is dated the year it opened and is likely to be the first for the attraction. It is a tri-fold brochure with a very fun design. It’s one of the few I’ve seen that was geared towards kids.
By the 1970s, many attractions developed a kid-friendly focus when owners realized that parents were listening to their kids’ wishes when it came to vacation destinations (among many other subjects). Not only was the design of this brochure kid-oriented, so was the Mystery Fun House itself.
The Mystery Fun House closed in 2001, but its building is still there – more or less across the street from the Universal Orlando Resort.
