House of Presidents c1965

“The history of your country in 30 minutes.” One of the more interesting logos of a Florida attraction. This two-sided brochure is for a small attraction located near the Citrus Tower in Clermont on US 27. It is undated, but “Washington to Johnson” means that it’s from the later 1960s. The House of Presidents was opened in 1960 and was one of several wax museums in the state at the time, but the choice to focus on just US presidents was unique.

The Citrus Tower and House of Presidents were separate attractions (and still are) and even though they were located very close to each other and were the only two attractions in Clermont, they appear to have never joined together for cross-promotion.

The House of Presidents was eventually renamed the Presidents Hall of Fame.
